Drawing is a kind of visual thinking that persistently demonstrates new and interesting ways to look at the world. In this new workshop, participants will be introduced to fresh perspective on drawing. Over 9 inclusive sessions, participants will create innovative works, engaging with ideas based on the drawing practice of modern and contemporary artists.

Drawing on an Open Mind will demonstrate how a simple investment with drawing can bring a greater understanding of our surroundings.

Drawing on an Open Mind is facilitated by Simon Wheeldon.

Simon Wheeldon is a multi-disciplinary artist working with drawing, painting and sound art. Simon’s artwork is concerned with the perceived functions of images within complex systems of signs and symbols. Simon studied fine art at Wollongong TAFE, COFA and later completed a Master of Fine Art specializing in drawing at the National Art School.
