Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre and the Australian War Memorial presents
Shaun Gladwell’s works focus on the bodies and movement of everyday soldiers, and the way they are trained to observe and quickly respond to foreign environments.
The exhibition features a video portrait of Victoria Cross recipient Corporal Mark Donaldson VC, on display for the first time. Gladwell’s unique portrait is a meditative study of Corporal Donaldson gazing out across an Australian landscape from a Black Hawk helicopter.
Shaun Gladwell Afghanistan will feature as part of Landlock. 30 March to 12 May.
