Belonging - An exhibition by Jeanie Baker

Award-winning artist, Jeannie Baker, is well known for her picture book Belonging. The story follows a young girl who, with the help of her friends, turns her derelict street into a place of peace and beauty.

Belonging documents the ability of the individual to reclaim places, as the urban cityscape is transformed into a place of wonder that celebrates the unique natural Australian environment. Baker’s ingeniously made miniature collages are made from a surprising range of materials delighting people of all ages.

An exhibition of sixteen collages by award-winning artist Jeannie Baker, Belonging follows the story of a young girl named Tracy, who transforms her parent’s urban backyard into an exquisite garden as she grows up.
