Nicholas Al Jeloo
Nicholas Al-Jeloo was born in Melbourne to Iraqi Assyrian parents. Raised in Sydney his fascination with photography began as a child when he was glued to images in magazines.
His passion is capturing moments in time that will remembered for as long as the image exists. Using trial and error and experimenting with different colours, light and textures, Nicholas tries to find images that are visually beautiful when raw, without having to need any sort of modification.
Nicholas’s images aim to convey depth, nobility, dignity and integrity, and focus on humanity itself – without distinction between sex, age, creed or colour.
“I don’t really like to explain any of my work. If you've created an image and that's how you want it to be, hopefully it can speak for itself. This way, whatever it says to the viewer is the right message, because there is no wrong or right message”
