The Australian Paranormal Investigators stayed at the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre overnight on Saturday 1 October to determine whether the centre was home to those beyond the grave. Below is the report

When asking the attending team members of any stand out experiences in their opinion, they have advised:
Peta: I felt strong evidence of the paranormal in this building. I found that my equipment was repeatedly playing up, switching itself off etc. It had never done that before, and has not done it since. My batteries were fully charged and the equipment was definitely switched on. While sitting in the theatre, I saw a white light similar to a flash-light, up on the catwalk above the stage. There was no other source of light in the theatre at the time. One other thing which happened was when I was conducing an EVP session in the Artists' Studio. While sitting around the table with three other investigators, we all heard, coming from our right, the sound of somebody exhaling loudly. There was nobody sitting/standing at the location the exhalation came from.
Unfortunately this breath was not picked up on our audio or visual equipment.
Nic: First vigil - Artists' Studio, there was a noise coming from the air-conditioning vent at the back of the room (common for an air con vent), I was standing at the back of the room, looking out towards the children's studio, and through the window on the other side of the children's studio I saw a man from the waist up, walk straight across the windows from right to left. On further investigation, it was realized that this was in the stairwell area. Given the decline in the flooring, there is no possible way anyone could have walked across the window at that level, and all men in the building were accounted for at that time. While sitting in for the "Victorian S6ance", I was seated with my back to the audience seating and I noticed a streak of white light moving rapidly upwards from the back of the stage, up towards the catwalk. I adjusted my eyes (closed, rubbed, opened), and saw the light rush over my head towards the audience seats. There were also rapid temperature fluctuations in the theatre and tapping/banging noises from within which were corresponding to direct questions we were asking. All in all, a fantastic location with the potential for ghost tours.
Claire: My experience at CPAC was quite strange. I haven't been on an investigation before, so I was looking forward to the night. Although a little scared at first, I eased into it. First I was in the Theatre, and must say that I felt quite happy in there. The feeling was safe. There were a few flashes of things that I couldn't explain, Nearing the end of the investigation, in the Theatre, I had the thermometer and it kept jumping up and down. Everyone was standing still, and it would go up to around 22oc and then drop down to 16-17oc in an instance. It wasn't just the thermometer that felt it, I felt it too. There were a few other things that happened, probably the one that made me feel a little bit freaked out was when I was in the video monitoring room (Children's Studio) watching the vigils on the monitor, and I heard a cat meow really loudly from the back left hand corner. The thing that got me was that I wasn't the only person who heard it Daniel, who was in the room with me, heard it as well.
Viki: While investigating the Artists' Studio, I suddenly felt as if I had been punched in the jaw. The ache left me as soon as I left the studio. While in there, a fellow investigator with psychic abilities advised she was picking up on a male presence seeing a white light in my peripheral vision from time to time, and definitely felt that there was someone with us in the room, a male, who had spent time in prison for a stabbing murder.
Steph: Personal experiences....in the theatre room the temp dropped from a steady
21oc to 15oc when we started to ask questions, I also saw the legs of a figure that wasn't there. Another experience was during the Victorian séance when I received visions of a "biker" looking man. I got the feeling he didn't like me and continued to get a 'cutting/slashing' feeling across my stomach. At one point I also saw a white light behind Andrea, who was sitting opposite me.
Petrina: It didn't take too long for me to connect with spirit when we got started. I was in the Artist's Studio first, and wow, there was so much anger in that room. The workers were a very "manly" bunch and didn't like women around much. I connected the most with the boss or foreman, because he caused a lot of accidents and a few accidental deaths (in my opinion). He kind of followed us for a bit, but then got bored of the 'stupid women' as he put it. I also remember seeing a lot of liquid on the floor,
and I really wanted to get in the locked room next to the Artists' Studio because I felt like something happened in there. I mainly fear and anger from the workers.
Andrea: Andrea was unable to get any information to us by the deadline, so Nic and I are writing what we witnessed her experience. Andrea was the special guest "Medium" for the evening. Andrea's first vigil was on the top floor, near the elevator, facing the stairs in the corner. At first, things were fine and Andrea was just picking upon what Spirit was telling her. Very quickly, she became agitated and incoherent. She kept saying she needed to get to the stairs, and we needed to physically restrain her. The only way we could calm her down was to take her outside and not let her back in the building until she had calmed down. She also picked up on some strong energy in the Theatre and in the surrounding rooms of CPAC. Andrea wishes to return, to complete a more thorough investigation. She felt one night was not enough to uncover everything.
Daniel: While reviewing the static video cameras in the Children's Workshop, Attila and I often heard the sound of a door banging, and heavy booted feet running down the metal stairways. We know it was not the investigators, as they did not have access to those areas, and nothing appeared on the video cameras to confirm the material presence of any body. We also noted two things in the theatre. One was a white streak of light, at the back of the stage, which was in complete darkness. The other was a heavy exhalation of breath in our ear when we were sitting alone in the theatre.
Sarah: I personally found the stage area one of the most active areas of the building. What made this area so exciting is the ability to investigate an area which was sound insulated, and where I experienced tapping noises. I also experienced movement of shadows near the lighting at the top of the stage and even on the stage.
