LIVERPOOL REGIONAL MUSEUM
Liverpool Regional Museum opened in 1989 as part of Australia's Bicentennial celebrations. The museum has a permanent exhibition depicting Liverpool in the 19th Century titled Liverpool Stories and a dynamic exhibition program that is committed to the presentation of environmental and heritage that examine social issues on both a local and global scale.
Under the guiding philosophy of the Board of Management, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre and Liverpool Regional Museum, pro-actively acquire, conserve, research, display and interpret the South West Sydney region through an innovative approach to community, contemporary art, environment and heritage to examine issues locally and globally.
Liverpool Regional Museum researches, collects and exhibits artefacts from working life, modes of transport, industry, domestic & everyday life, local families, agricultural development, migration & settlement, traditional & contemporary crafts, photographs and oral histories.
During the capital development of Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, Liverpool Regional Museum is home to administration and programming staff who work towards putting together an exciting program for audiences to experience and enjoy.
