COLLECTION HIGHLIGHTS - PAST WINNERS

Liverpool City Council has a long history of supporting both the Liverpool Art Society and the Mil-Pra (Aboriginal Education Consultative Committee) annual exhibitions. As part of that support Council has provided prize money and acquired prize winning artworks for the Liverpool City Council Collection.  This exhibition is a selection of acquired artworks associated with:

  • Mil-Pra Maria Lock Award
  • Mil-Pra Mayor's Choice Award
  • Liverpool Art Society Overall Winner Award

The exhibition includes more than 30 artworks collected between 1992 and 2019.

Mil-Pra artists include:

Adam Hill, Amala Groom, Bankstown Koori Elders, Brenda Palma, Danielle Mate Sullivan, Dolly Brown, Geoff Sellman, Juundaal Strang-Yettica, Keith Brown, Leanne Tobin, Kay Cunningham and Patricia Leverett, Debra Beale, Lola Simmons, Lyn Martin, Richard Groves, Shane Smithers, Susan Grant Murphy, Terry Lockley, Victoria Woods, Danny Eastwood, Lyn Duncan, Cecil Bowden, Barrina South, Annette Webb

Liverpool Art Society artists include:
Bridget Dolan, Federico Rekowski, Glenda Carter, Hedar Abadi, Pamela Rodoreda, Rebecca Brady, Sally Atkins.
