EVENTS: DYING TO KNOW DINNER PARTY
8 Aug 2019 | 6pm - 8:30pm
This year, for Dying to Know Day we are bringing people together in a beautiful and thoughtful setting, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre! To celebrate, connect, and inspire one another. Palliative care staff, along with local artists, funeral services and community members are invited to be a part of this innovative conversation whilst feasting on fine food and art.
You are warmly invited to a dinner party with a difference. We are gathering together to talk about dying, grief, palliative care, but also about joy, love, connection and community. Now, we think that people would rather not talk about dying, but in truth, most of us wish we could be more open about the inevitable end of our lives. It's the taboo that is not really taboo! Given the right setting, we can learn so much about each other and this enigmatic and natural part of life, and even have a few laughs along the way.
