EXHIBITIONS: 28TH ANNUAL MIL-PRA AECG EXHIBITION

The annual Mil-Pra Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) exhibition and art prize celebrates the significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in our region and beyond. Presented at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, the 28th Annual Mil-Pra AECG Exhibition will feature an exciting variety of artworks, from painting to ceramics and sculptural pieces by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists of all ages living in both NSW and the ACT.
This year, the Mil-Pra AECG Award of $1500 will be awarded to the artist whose work best responds to the 2019 theme “Hear My Voice”.
Other major prizes include; the $2000 acquisitive Maria Lock Award and the $3000 acquisitive Liverpool City Council’s Mayor’s Choice Award , the Bruce & Carol Kendall OAM Memorial Award of $500, KARI Award of $500, the Kate Nicholas Liverpool Women’s Services Award of $500, Family and Early Childhood Art Award of $50 as well as awards for various student categories.
The exhibition will be open from 23 November 2019 – 25 January 2020 (please check times over the holiday period.)
