You will be transported to different places through the dreamlike installation steeped in the mythologies of Hindu and Yolngu cultures in Laka, the intricate works in Copper and the large scale commission from renowned Western Sydney artist Catherine O’Donnell in 2168; Estate of Tomorrow, responding to the homes in Green Valley where she grew up.

Laka | 28 July - 16 Sept
Be transported to another world through Lakaa surreal and evocative installation steeped in the mythologies of Hindu and Yolngu cultures. It celebrates Western Sydney's contemporary, intercultural way of life through the story of Lily, a Yolngu woman and her husband Siddhartha, a Sri Lankan Australian, as they prepare for the arrival of their first child. This 360 exhibition of video, sound and virtual reality was developed by CuriousWorks to accompany the feature film of the same name. The film will screen in the Casula Powerhouse Theatre at 4pm on Saturday, 28th of July after the exhibition launch event.

Copper | 28 July - 16 Sept
Copper features artists and designers who have explored the possibilities of this ductile metal in their creative practice. This exhibition shows how copper can be transformed through new technologies and traditional crafts, making it perfectly suitable for Casula Powerhouse’s Switch Gallery.

2168; Estate of Tomorrow | 28 July - 16 Sept
2168: Estate of Tomorrow is a twenty metre commissioned work by renowned Western Sydney artist Catherine O’Donnell. Inspired by her childhood home within Green Valley, O’Donnell faithfully brings a classic 1960s suburban street scene into Casula Powerhouse’s Upper Turbine Gallery.
