International Women’s Day is a global celebration of a variety of women’s achievements, as well as identifying gender inequality and imbalance. IWD has been celebrated for more than a century – we would like you to join us for our celebration of women: Girls Talk Women’s Work.

CPAC presents an incredible calibre of panelists celebrating women through empowering conversations. There will be three panels that recognise the role, impact and perspectives of women in the following areas: Culture, Identity and Motherhood. These conversations seek to empower women in different stages of life, as our panellists are each from different cultural & professional backgrounds.

Our panelists include:
Christine Anu (Indigenous-Australian singer and actress), Eunice Andrada (poet and performance artist), Alice Chance (worldwide music composer), Jules Orcullo (theatre writer, performer, producer and director), Marikit Santiago (award-winning Filipino/Australian artist), Suara Indonesia Dance (Indonesian/Australian performance group), The Trading Circle (a not-for-profit organisation aimed at empowering women experiencing poverty), with more to be announced.

10.30 - 11.15am : Cultural Connections between Womanhood and Cultural Heritage
12.00 - 12.45pm : Grandmothers, Mothers, Daughters and the balance of parenting and work
1.00 - 1.45pm :  Female Identity within the current political and cultural climate
