On 25 August CPAC Youth are partnering with the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Youth Committee to present an evening full of all the things you love most about GENEXT, the MCA’s flagship event for young people – live music, artist-run workshops, social activities and delicious snacks – in a celebration of the best of the west.

GENEXT GOES WEST is a free, all-access, festival-style event that is strictly for young people aged 12–18 years, programmed by young people, for young people.

GENEXT GOES WEST is a drug and alcohol-free event. It is also a parent and teacher-free event that is supervised by Casula Powerhouse staff, gallery hosts and MCA artist educators.

Casula Powerhouse acknowledges that this event takes place on land belonging to the Cabrogal Clan of the Darug Nation, and was also accessed by peoples of the Dhurawal and Dharuk Nations.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the traditional owners of the land and waters upon which the MCA stands.
