In ART SCHOOL AFTER SCHOOL, students will explore different mediums such as painting, collage, mono printing and sculpture. Students are encouraged to create artworks through exploring a variety of media and techniques.
In this workshop students explore form, colour and design as they learn about art history and theory in an engaging and exciting environment. Students create artworks using quality materials to increase their confidence and discover their own artistic location. In each workshop students will be supervised by one of Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre's experienced facilitators.
TERM 3 | Frida Kahlo and Chuck Close
Explore form, colour, and design, and learn about art history. In this 9 week course, students will learn about artists Frida Kahlo and Chuck Close whilst experimenting with different mediums and techniques to create exciting new artwork in an exciting and engaging environment. Art School After School increases students’ confidence and allows them to discover their own artistic location.

This program is facilitated by artist Louise Zhang.
Louise Zhang is a Chinese-Australian artist based in Sydney, Australia. Spanning painting, sculpture and installation, her work negates the space between the attractive and repulsive. With an interest in horror cinema, particularly body horror, Zhang investigates the idea of the visceral as medium, method and symbol in negotiating horror as art form
