Join a professional artist facilitator and be guided in learning the basic techniques of oil painting over a two session workshop. Experiment with the expressive qualities of this medium while being introduced to how to use and work with colour and the fluidity of oil paint and the varying application mediums. The second session will build upon the image developed in the first session, allowing drying time for the first layer of paint and enhancing and extending your understanding and techniques.

This is a predominantly experiential class and participants will be able to produce an artwork, or a sketch for a larger work, over the two sessions.

This class is suitable for beginners and those more familiar with oil techniques looking for some extra tips and hints.

All materials will be provided.
