Lost Boys has three sessions:
5 June: 11am (Education show only)
6 June: 11am & 7.30pm (Education show & General public)
Australian playwright Lachlan Philpott’s Lost Boys fictionalizes a shocking chapter in our recent history as it tells the story of three generations of the Murphy family. With focus on the boys in each generation, Lost Boys rips into our male-dominated culture asking how perpetrators of violent crimes live with their unspeakable pasts.
At a time when sexuality and the welfare of our young people are so hotly debated, Lost Boys takes an unflinching look at the violence of our history and the struggles persistently encountered by people because of their sexual orientation. This is brave, vital and human play that bears witness to our times. In the same vein of Nick Enright’s Blackrock, it is set to become a new Australian epic.
