SPEECH BUBBLE

19 June - 17 July
Marsden Gallery

Speech Bubble explores the textures and gestures of the voice through an immersive and interactive multi-speaker installation. In an abstract game of call and response, the audience triggers vocal gestures that ricochet like small sonic fireworks through the physical space. Its playful interaction sits somewhere between a pinball game and a peculiar presence in the room.

This interactive artwork is part of the ARC research project with UNSW.

SPEECH BUBBLE (3 July – 22 Aug 2021) is an interactive artwork in the Marsden Gallery. This artwork is part of the A.R.C research project with University of NSW.
The artwork, created by Interactive Media Lab at UNSW, invites audiences to interact with the installation and watch and listen as this interaction creates a choreographed composition of sound and light playing an abstract game of call and response with the gallery audience. Sometimes it sounds as if it is mumbling in its sleep, scat singing or shushing.
