Book TicketsGorgeously animated and joyously told, this enchanting tale of a girl’s journey to the North Pole to find her long-lost grandfather will charm audiences young and old.
Sasha is convinced that her beloved grandfather’s attempt to discover the North Pole was not in vain. Both the 19th century Russian Court and Sasha’s family have given up on ever seeing him or his famous ship again, but 15-year-old Sasha is both loving and courageous. She sets out to prove them all wrong, by retracing her grandfather’s journey. Sasha faces many challenges searching in the freezing Arctic Circle with a crew of rowdy and rebellious sailors, but it’s what she must do to restore her family’s honour. Fans of female-led adventure stories such as Brave and Frozen will be equally captivated by this splendid tale, an audience award winner at the 2015 Annecy Animation Film Festival.
