A Greek-Australian math teacher (Richard Brancatisano) and a Lebanese-Australian lawyer (Andrea Demetriades) fall in love, but are worried about the inevitable cultural clash that will ensue when they tell their families about their budding romance. The relationship is forbidden by both families, and thus the emotional dilemma of 'Alex and Eve' is created.
